Preliminary Information for our competition in 2016:

Location: Pulsnitz, the „gingerbread city“ in the middle of Saxony/Germany.

How do I get there?
Dresden International Airport is just 20 minutes driving away. Autobahn A4 passes the competion map at the southern border.
Half way from Prague to Berlin, the competition is easy to reach also for international participants.

Accomodation
There is a wide range of affordable private accomodations near the competition centre, including a campsite. The City of Dresden offers high-class hotels, an astonishing baroque City centre, and cultural attractions of all kind.

What else to do / see / orienteer?
Dresden is Germany’s orienteering capital, so you’ll find a good selection of orienteering maps in close distance. Many of them were made for German Championships over the last years. For an overview of our club’s maps: chronological / on omaps

About 40 minutes away, you can enjoy „Sächsische Schweiz“ national park, a huge sandstone mountain range with thousands of climbing rocks, beautiful gorges. Saxony itself is also known as the land of Castles and Fortresses – so you’ll find a lot to discover in close distance.
